EDIT 2008: There was a podcast of this episode for a while but it was temporary and I took it down, long since got over it.
Hey folks, I’m probably doing the webcast tonight, depending on the weather-feelings. That is, if it’s too icy here then I will skip the show. If the feeling is warm enough then I’ll go play some blues. :( My co-host Dalla$ sent a CD with his selections for the show. By the way we are both skipping next Tuesday because of Con Law exam. Check back tonight for a probable webcast. EDIT: Of course I did the Radio Show .

YMSB – Loved You Enough

Here are some of the lyrics from Set 1,
FOR EVERY LONELY LADY by Trevor Garrod
For every lonely lady there’s a man that’s just her type
That’s gonna love her in the mornin’ after he loves her through the night
But not all of us are lucky, no not all of us are blessed
The world is filled with failures that tried to do their lovin’ best
And for every desert flower there’s a dozen cactus spines / spikes
And for every idle hour there’s a true love left behind
And all of us are children, no not all of us are young
Some of us are foolish and some are just plain / playing dumb
Even if you are a great beauty, that is no guarantee
A fish may love a birdie but he still won’t climb that tree
Oh there is no easy answer, there’s no one way to get by
You may spend your life through Jesus or you may waste it drinking his wine
Oh we’ve got to learn our lessons, yeah we’ve got to lead our lives
You may be tempted by the devil or you may always do what’s right
And they say the soul is immortal, and our father’s in the sky
And He heards us like a shepherd into His paradise
And if that’s what makes you happy, it doesn’t matter if it’s true
But I don’t need no here nor after, I’ve got my paradise right here with you!!!
I wrap my lyric on the landscape, I sing my song beneath the sun
My true love’s waiting at the end of the road I’m walking on.
FAVORITE ONE
BAD GIRL
SHE CAUGHT THE KATY
She caught the Katy, and left me a mule to ride
She caught the Katy, and left me a mule to ride
My baby caught the Katy, left me a mule to ride
The train polled out, and I swung on behind
I’m crazy ’bout her, that hardheaded woman of mine
Man my baby’s long, great god she’s mighty she’s tall
you know my baby’s long, great god she’s mighty my baby she’s tall
Well my baby she’s long, my baby she’s tall
she sleeps wiht her head in the kitchen and her big feet out in the hall
And I’m still crazy ’bout her, that hardheaded woman of mine
Well I love my baby, she’s so fine
I wish she’d come and see me some time
If you don´t believe I love her,
Look what a hole I’m in
If you don’t believe I’m sinking,
Look what a shape I’m in
She caught the Katy, and left me a mule to ride
She caught the Katy, and left me a mule to ride
Well my baby caught the Katy, left me a mule to ride
The train polled out, and I swung on behind
I’m crazy ’bout her, that hardheaded woman-
hardheaded woman of mine
I WISH WE HAD OUR TIME AGAIN
BRING YOUR CLOTHES BACK HOME AND TRY ME ONE MORE TIME
Mama killed a rooster, thought it was a duck
Put it on the table with its legs pokin’ up
Oh, Babe – ’bout to lose my mind
Bring your clothes back home and try me one more time
You know about kissin and lovin on down
You’re the dreamiest gal I’ve ever been around
Oh, Babe – ’bout to lose my mind
Bring your clothes back home and try me one more time
She’s comin down the stairs goin’ “oop shoop a-doobie”
I’m lookin’ up thinkin ’bout that flip-flop-floobie
Oh, Babe – ’bout to lose my mind
Bring your clothes back home and try me one more time
BLUE RAILROAD TRAIN
Blue railroad train
Going down the railroad tracks
It makes me feel so doggone blue
To listen to that old smokestack
Come back again
Let me hear the whistle blow
You’re taking the sun and leaving the rain
And I hate to see you go
Blue railroad train
Leaving me far behind
Gimme back the good old days
And let me ramble down the line
Blue railroad train
Leaving me her alone
You treat me good you treat me bad
You’re making me think of home
I’ve got the blues
I’m longing for your company
It’s many miles from where I am
To the only one for me
It’s lonely here
Waiting for the manifest
I hope that engineer is kind
Enough to let me be his guest
I’m not as bad
As you might think I am
I hobo here I hobo there
I’ve traveled these states around
Blue railroad train
A good old pal to me
You take me where I want to go
And my transportation’s free
MILLION MILES AWAY by Adam Hood
A sharp pain in my soul
no cars on the county road
i cant stand to be a goin home
im so mad, im so alone
i made some big mistakes
i cant take back yesterday
but its to hard to live this way
when your heart is a million miles away
i get tired and it makes me mean
but cruel words arent what you need
i know and we both agreee but sometimes life gets down on me
and two hours on the interstate i get quite start to pray but it
feels like i lost my faith
theres a sharp pain in my soul
no cars on the county road
what i give to change my faith
when your heart is a million away
BULL RUN by Michael Houser
Now I don’t blame you
And I don’t blame myself
We both gave a hundred percent
And we were in heaven
And we were in hell
But it’s time to help ourselves
You can go your way
And I will go mine
There ain’t no telling what we might find
And it’ll be heavy
And it’ll be tough
But I think we both have had enough
Over and over
We fought for the same ground
Just like that old battle
The Battle of Bull Run
Now maybe I’ll see you
In a year
Without anger or fear
Maybe we’ll find
Find our way
To what we could not see today
Now I don’t blame you
And I don’t blame myself
We both gave a hundred percent
And we were in heaven/And we were in hell
But it’s time to help ourselves
Yes it’s time to help ourselves
You know it’s time to break the spell
VARIETY by Ryan Montbleau
I should be happy
Prime of my life
Singular wild and free.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
But I still want to be everything,
Have you every wanted to be everything?
Sometimes the dreaming gets so overwhelming.
So many places, so many places.
Take me down to the ocean to the ever-lapping shore
Fly me high in the mountains, where it’s all one open door.
Drive me into the city where the crazies come out at night
And I’ll be one of them, I’ll be one of them this time.
I should be willing,
I should be down for the adventure
Standing up and stabbing westward
On and along the trail.
Pick up my things and bail.
But there’s so much unfinished,
So much open-ended business
And sadness and pleasure so close together
I can’t seem to tell the difference.
Better take it all, I guess.
Give me Friday night apartments with red-faced tears of laughter.
Jumping up and down, drinking happy ever-after
Build a wall of good people and you can’t beat a young man’s pride
So I”ll be one of them, I’ll be one of them this time.
Open my eyes and make me wonder,
Show me all there is to see.
Give me music and more people
Dirty magazines and poetry.
Give me variety in all its forms,
Give me everything, then give me more and more and more.
Give me something I can taste, that I can see,
That I can feel, that I can be.
Variety.
Variety.
Variety.
Variety won’t bring her back to me.
I should be happy,
Prime of my life.
Single and wild and far from free.
And bound by all this variety.
And now there’s too much of everything,
Did I ever really want to be everything?
And now the memories are so overwhelming:
So many places
So many places where she used to be.
TROUBLE (traditional played by Tea Leaf Green)
Trouble, oh trouble, I’ve got trouble on my mind
If Trouble don’t kill me, gonna live a long time
etc.
TRAVELLIN’ TEARDROP BLUES
Adios, I heard me callin’
And I felt my spirit fallin’
‘Til the warm desert wind picked me up
I’ve been lost in all four corners
Drifted over California
Leavin’ shadows on the ground
Like clouds above
On my way through Arizona
I began to pinin’ for you
Red rocks run the road beside me along my way
Just like me they like to travel
Won’t sit still less than I do
I can’t sit still ’til I get me back to you
Chorus:
Pick me up like some hitchhiker
Let me ride into the wild and blue
I don’t care which way I’m goin’
Long as that’s the way you’re goin’ too
I am the man with the travelin’ teardrop blues
Angel wakes up on the mesa
In the air she makes her face up
With the pain of some red warrior in her eyes
In the dark behind a curtain
On a bed of lust I loved her
While she slept I left a tear to say good-bye
Chorus
I am the man with the travelin’ teardrop blues
I’M LEARNING THE BLUES
The tables are empty
The dance floor’s deserted
You play the same love song
It’s the tenth time you’ve heard it
That’s the beginning
Just one of the clues
You’ve had your first lesson
In learning the blues
When you’re at home alone
The blues will taunt you constantly
When you’re out in a crowd
Those blues will haunt your memory
The nights when you don’t sleep
The whole night you’re cryin’
But you can’t forget her
Soon you even stop tryin’
You’ll walk that floor
And wear out your shoes
When you feel your heart break
You’re learnin’ the blues
The cigarettes you light
One after another
Won’t help you forget her
And the way that you love her
You’re only burnin’
A torch you can’t lose
But you’re on the right track
For learnin’ the blues
When you’re at home alone
The blues will taunt you constantly
When you’re out in a crowd
Those blues will haunt your memory
The nights when you don’t sleep
The whole night you’re cryin’
Well you can’t forget her
Soon you even stop tryin’
You’ll walk that floor
And wear out your shoes
When you feel your heart break
You’re learnin’ the blues
I FEEL THE BLUES MOVING IN
Though the miles are between us
I thought our love would strengthen
As it has so many times before
But something has happened
I can see it in your eyes
I can tell the world is crumbling
And the blues are at my door
The last letter that you wrote
Was on a blue piece of paper
That old feeling’s back
The clouds are moving in
The beginning of the end is near
I feel your love is fading
Into darkness it seems I have no friends
I feel the blues moving in.
Oh it’s not the word you wrote
That made me sad and broken hearted
And put me in the sad shape I’m in.
Between the lines of mixed emotions
And there’s teardrops on the paper
And you said that is all I’ll write for??
I’ll close for now old friend
The last letter that you wrote
Was on a blue piece of paper
That old feeling’s back
The clouds are moving in
The beginning of the end is near
I feel your love is fading
Into darkness it seems I have no friends
I feel the blues moving in.
My state of mind is desperate
And the hole that I’m sinkin’ in
Gets deeper while I’m diggin’ to get out
Oh please give the right answer
To the question I’m asking
Tell me you still love me
That will turn my world about.
The last letter that you wrote
Was on a blue piece of paper
That old feeling’s back
The clouds are moving in
The beginning of the end is near
I feel your love is fading
Into darkness it seems I have no friends
I feel the blues moving in
TROUBLE by Cat Stevens sung by JB with WSP
Trouble
Oh trouble set me free
I have seen your face
And it’s too much too much for me
Trouble
Oh trouble can’t you see
You’re eating my heart away
And there’s nothing much left of me
I’ve drunk your wine
You have made your world mine
So won’t you be fair
So won’t you be fair
I don’t want no more of you
So won’t you be kind to me
Just let me go where
I’ll have to go there
Trouble
Oh trouble move away
I have seen your face
and it’s too much for me today
Trouble
Oh trouble can’t you see
You have made me a wreck
Now won’t you leave me in my misery
I’ve seen your eyes
and I can see death’s disguise
Hangin’ on me
Hangin’ on me
I’m beat, I’m torn
Shattered and tossed and worn
Too shocking to see
Too shocking to see
Trouble
Oh trouble move from me
I have paid my debt
Now won’t you leave me in my misery
Trouble
Oh trouble please be kind
I don’t want no fight
And I haven’t got a lot of time

Thank You, It sounds so beautiful. Serenading my day with sweetness much better than those icky pastey heart-shaped candies.
*~Happy Valentines Day Daniel~*
I hope the sun is smiling on your day, may it be as romantic as the lives we lead.
Love,
-B.
