It’s freezing cold in Fayetteville, Arkansas tonite!
From the new album by Joe Craven (the multi-instrumentalist who jams with David Grisman), we played “Babik / Festival 48 / Micro” which combines a meringue from the Dominican Republic with instrumental gypsy songwriting by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli!! Incredible combinations of international music styles!)
Lyrics for Bob Dylan’s original “You Ain’t Going Nowhere” (ooh wee, ride me high) - We played a cover version by The Byrds tonight. I heard a great live cover of this song on NPR Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor last weekend and wanted to play the song on our Radio Show.

You Ain’t Going Nowhere - From the Bob Dylan lyrics page http://bobdylan.com/songs/nowhere.html
YOU AIN’T GOING NOWHERE
Clouds so swift
Rain won’t lift
Gate won’t close
Railings froze
Get your mind off wintertime
You ain’t goin’ nowhere
Whoo-ee! Ride me high
Tomorrow’s the day
My bride’s gonna come
Oh, oh, are we gonna fly
Down in the easy chair!
I don’t care
How many letters they sent
Morning came and morning went
Pick up your money
And pack up your tent
You ain’t goin’ nowhere
Whoo-ee! Ride me high
Tomorrow’s the day
My bride’s gonna come
Oh, oh, are we gonna fly
Down in the easy chair!
Buy me a flute
And a gun that shoots
Tailgates and substitutes
Strap yourself
To the tree with roots
You ain’t goin’ nowhere
Whoo-ee! Ride me high
Tomorrow’s the day
My bride’s gonna come
Oh, oh, are we gonna fly
Down in the easy chair!
Genghis Khan
He could not keep
All his kings
Supplied with sleep
We’ll climb that hill no matter how steep
When we get up to it
Whoo-ee! Ride me high
Tomorrow’s the day
My bride’s gonna come
Oh, oh, are we gonna fly
Down in the easy chair!

hey-
I heard the last hour of your radio show last night and I really loved
it. I was driving home from a late work day up in Rogers and tuned
in. I confess I hadn’t listened to Honest Tunes in about six months,
but it’s good to know you’re still putting on a damn good
program.
