Martin Fierro rarely grants interviews, but he is a story-teller, full of wild memories from years of playing shows with Jerry Garcia in Legion Of Mary and JGB, and recording Wake Of The Flood with Grateful Dead. Returning to Fayetteville after many visits here with Zero and various Steve Kimock jams, Martin offered to tell some of his stories on the air, live on Honest Tunes Radio Show ‘s exclusive interview on Jerry’s birthday. Martin is flying in from San Francisco with his sax, to join us on the radio show at 8PM Central Time. Then he’ll jam at George’s for the Jerry Garcia Birthday Celebration at 10PM with members of Speakeasy and M.O.V. If you have a Question for the venerable saxophonist, post a comment here on the blog, we’ll try to pitch the most interesting questions to Martin Fierro. We would like to get him talking about the old days, and his time spent with Garcia.
