The Derek Trucks Band returned to Fayetteville, Arkansas 4-19-05 for a concert at George’s Majestic Lounge and another interview with Honest Tunes radio. DT said he’d be happy to revisit AHT Radio and talk more music history with the webcast listeners, just an hour before that night’s performance on Dickson Street.

Thanks for the great job Dgold!
What a treat to hear him comment on that book. It is really incredible, especially to all of you rabbid music fanatics out there.
    Check it out:
“The Mysticism of Sound and Music” by Hazrat Inayat Kahn.

Sounded like “This Sky” is heavily influenced as well by writings in a similar vein.

Really enjoyed it. Thanks once again.
    Regards,

The thing about the interview that surprised me most is how he can remember the names of all those Indian musicians he was playing with. He rattled off a bunch of names, the likes of which I’ve never heard, like they were his family. Me?…I’ll forget your name 5 seconds after we’re introduced, lol. Then I’ll spend the next 10 minutes of our conversation pretending to pay attention to you while I try and figure it out!
