Daniel,
I have met you a few times at various shows at the Cains in Tulsa where I live. I just wanted to see if you have done much with Tishamingo and what your thoughts are on these guys. For me they are a breath of fresh air, the only thin that has really gotten me since Panic did in 95. Just curious. Please send me your mind.
Barrett
PS I have enjoyed your show the few times I have heard it, I really like what you all have going on there in Fayetteville (besides Daves on Dixon closing), much more of a scene than here in Tulsa.

What’s up DG and Pho! Thanks for the honest tunes tonight. Just sitting here watching the sunset from atop a hill in the Haight listening to The Slip! Great times!

DG,
This slide show is so awesome!! Wow! Those pics brought back some of the greatest times. Dude, you are a lucky dude to have experienced so much. You have some awesome pics to have forever. That Chester’s pic just went straight to my heart. Man that place was so good to me, I wonder how I would have met you and others if it wasn’t for that pic. THANK YOU CHESTERS!!! So many memories, I don’t know where to start and I could go on forever. DG, I remember to this day being in Chesters with you and Josh and 6 other people watching Speakeasy shred it up and being so happy. Getting nervous before radio shows, being grateful to be “on the list.” All the sessions just chatting up music…. I need to write a blog. DG, thanks
buddy. That’s all I can say.
Thanks,

At the Col. Bruce show on Friday, I met a fellow named Dustin who was really into the music. The show was 21-and-up, he was probably 21-22 years old.
We were talking, and when he found out I was Dgold he exclaimed,
“I’ve been listening to your radio show since I was in 8th grade!”
This was pretty cool / gratifying, so I wanted to share. Dustin grew up in Fayetteville, hearing my show on FM radio, now he lives in Little Rock and listens to the webcast. The first radio show I hosted with Michael Saba, in April 2000 when KXUA went live on-the-air.

Don’t think I got a chance to tell you this, but I hung out with with Jerry Joseph and Drizos at the Memphis show back at the end of January and told them that I’d heard them on your radio show online. They had nothing but complimentary things to say about you, I think the exact words were “a very genuine guy, we really enjoyed that interview.”

Brent, Daniel and Ted–
Thanks so much for doing your shows on Tuesday. I know it was a snow day, but you three were the only ones to show up. Keep up the good work!

This was posted on the Live Music Podcast blog in the (Grace Potter episode of the Live Music Podcast)
If you like Grace Potter’s style of music you might also enjoy some of the music featured on Honest Tunes Radio. I’ve been listening to the podcast for a while now and dig their mix of live tunes and in studio interviews with some great bands from the jam and roots scene.

Hi Daniel,
Just a fellow Fayettevillian/fan here… I just want to say thanks for putting so much great music out on your show… I’ve been listening to the podcasts (I never seem to be able to catch it live), and am really excited for all the new (to me) music I hear… it’s so hard to find new music sometimes after listening to the same bands year after year, but I’ve been exposed to a lot of stuff I’ve fallen in love with– Tea Leaf (heard them, but never gotten really into it), BOOMBOX (wow!), and many more… So, thanks!! As a music lover I’m sure you know how grateful I am!
Cheers,
Jesse
